About Us
bluboho is on a mission to mark moments and tell stories through beautiful jewelry. We are a team of high achievers who love to create the unimaginable. We design all of our pieces right here in Canada using ethically sourced stones and recycled metals. Come work for a high-growth company where you get to have a voice, make decisions, set goals and achieve them. We can’t wait to meet you…
We are looking for someone who is genuinely rare: a leader who can stand on the sales floor on a Saturday afternoon and close an engagement ring sale themselves — and then, an hour later, sit with one of our store managers and coach them toward their own answer, because you believe the fastest way to grow a region is to grow the people who run it. Someone who can read a P&L and forecast labour against margin with total confidence, and who can also walk into a room and feel, immediately, what the energy of that team actually is.
This is not two roles pretending to be one. It is a single, integrated way of leading — equal parts hustle and humility, ambition and presence, accountability and care. Your job is never to be the smartest person in the store. It's to leave every store manager more capable, more confident, and more owning of their own results than they were before you walked in — while you carry the ultimate responsibility for the region's numbers. If you have spent your career either in spreadsheets or in spirit, but never quite both at once, this role will be a stretch. If you have always led that way naturally, you already know exactly what we mean.
Who You Are:
Grounded and self-aware, not just confident. You've done real inner work. You don't lead from ego, and you can hold a hard conversation without making it about you. People feel calmer, not smaller, after talking to you.
A closer, not a theorist. You can watch a connector mid-Beloved-consultation and step in to model exactly how to listen, romanticize, and close.
You've sold engagement rings yourself — you know what it feels like when a guest says yes.
Fluent in numbers, not intimidated by them. You forecast labour against sales, read margin erosion before it's a crisis, and explain EBITDA impact in language a store manager actually uses. The P&L is a story about your team's effort.
A leader of leaders who builds people who don't need you. Your goal with every store manager is to make yourself unnecessary to their daily decisions as fast as possible — while staying present for what truly matters. You coach toward independence.
Hungry, but not anxious. You want this region to win — hit the number, beat last year, grow EBITDA, open new doors. That ambition doesn't come from fear, and it doesn't create fear in others.
Someone people work hard for — not from fear, but because they don't want to let you down. You hold a high bar and people rise to meet it willingly. Accountability with you feels like care. Your teams talk about you the way people talk about the best coach they ever had.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Own the sales journey and the Beloved pipeline across your region.
- Be on the floor regularly — not as an observer, but as a working leader who can demonstrate the LLF sales journey and the Beloved
consultation experience in real time - Coach store managers and connectors directly on how to deepen guest connection, romanticize product, and close — using real
moments on the floor, not just training decks - Own Beloved conversion across your stores as a personal metric, not just a regional report-out
- Identify which stores and which individuals need hands-on floor coaching versus strategic support, and adjust your time accordingly
Drive the numbers that matter — sales, labour, margin, EBITDA.
- Forecast and manage labour costs against sales projections for every store in your region
- Own regional P&L; performance and identify margin risk before it becomes a financial problem
- Build store-level sales strategies grounded in actual data — traffic patterns, conversion rates, AOV, category performance
- Report accurately and proactively to the President, flagging risk early rather than explaining it after the fact
- Partner with finance to ensure budgets are built realistically and adhered to honestly
Build leaders, not just managers.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop store managers who can eventually run their stores with real autonomy
- Conduct regular, honest performance conversations — feedback that is direct, kind, and growth-oriented
- Create a multi-store culture of accountability built on trust, not fear
- Identify future regional leaders within your store manager team and actively develop them
Strengthen the guest and store experience across every location.
- Ensure the Long Lost Friend guest experience is consistently delivered at every store, not just the strongest ones
- Lead community outreach, events, and store-level activations that build local guest relationships
- Partner with marketing on campaign execution and in-store activation
- Support new store openings and growth opportunities as the brick and mortar network expands
What You’ll Bring
Required:
- 5+ years of multi-unit retail management experience with direct P&L; and labour forecasting accountability
- Demonstrated personal experience selling high-AOV or considered-purchase products (engagement rings, fine jewelry,
luxury goods, or similar) — you need to have done this yourself, not just managed people who do it - Proven ability to read and act on store-level financial data: sales trends, margin, conversion, labour cost ratios
- A track record of developing store managers into stronger, more independent leaders
- Real self-awareness and emotional regulation — demonstrated through how you've handled conflict, feedback, and
pressure in past roles - Comfort and confidence on the sales floor — this role requires hands-on coaching, not remote oversight
- Willingness to travel regularly across the region and work the floor on peak days, including weekends
Preferred:
- Experience specifically in fine jewelry, bridal, or luxury retail
- Bachelor's degree in business, retail management, or related field
- Experience supporting new store openings or regional expansion
- A personal practice — meditation, coaching, yoga, therapy, or similar — that has genuinely shaped how you lead
A Note on Fit
We've met excellent operators who've never sold anything themselves. We've met wonderful people-leaders who go soft on hard accountability conversations. We've met candidates who call themselves 'spiritual' or 'self-aware' with no evidence of it in how they've actually led through a hard quarter. None of them are wrong for retail leadership generally — they're wrong for this specific role. If you recognize yourself completely in this description — the floor instinct, the financial fluency, the genuine groundedness, and the refusal to let any of it excuse you from holding a high bar — we would love to talk to you.
